Hair Care|Travel

With all the travel I have done recently, I thought I would share what's currently in my travel hair care bag. For me, finding hair care products that really work for me can be difficult. I am so OCD when it comes to my hair and testing new products that eventually I end up with a full drawer of aerosols, sprays etc. that have been used a total of 3 times.

I have finally taken the time to go through and find what I ACTUALLY think are gems to keep and share with you. Thankfully most of my hair care favorites come in the perfect mini sizes for travel. Below are staples in my travel hair care bag. I keep the below permanently in their so when it comes time to pack its a grab-n-go situation.  *I normally forgo shampoo and conditioner as I don't wash my hair that often so the hotels shampoo+conditioner is just fine.

Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray, 2.1 oz, $22.00

I bought this after falling in love with Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray. Again, this has the same intoxicating scent which I adore. I use this instead of the texturizing spray if I want my curls to hold and to add shine.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, 2.2 oz, $22.00

This is a cult favorite which I love. I use this on freshly washed hair to had some grip as my hair is fine and any style will fall within a couple hours. I lift sections of my hair and spray upwards adding weightless volume.

Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray, 2.0 oz, $10.00

I'll be honest, I don't necessarily use a blowout spray on a regular basis but usually when I travel I will be going to some kind of event where I would take this extra step. I spray this on damp hair throughout the roots to about midway down my hair. No need to apply on the ends. This adds extra volume and provides heat protection.

Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner, 2.0 oz, $2.99

My hair is extremely tangly and dry. I have to use a leave-in conditioner every time before I use a wet brush. I picked this up on a whim at Target and it works perfectly fine. The vanilla scent is decadent as well. Carols Daughter is known for very hydrating products as there main target is curly haired individuals.

Alterna Working Spray, 1.5 oz, $8.00

Alterna has been one of my favorite hair brands for what seems like my whole life. They are simple, free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and synthetic color and just WORK. I use this hair spray as the last step of any hair style. With a flexible hold I don't get annoyed after having this in my hair all day.

Psssst! Dry Shampoo, 1.76 oz, $2.99

An oldie but goodie, this dry shampoo is an absolute no brainer. It works like a dream and the scent is not sickly. This takes away any greasiness-even if your going on day 4 of no washing. The color of the dry shampoo also blends in very well and doesn't leave a white cast on your roots.
